Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and VidCite ("VidCite", "we", "us") and apply when you use the website at vidcite.space and the VidCite service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What VidCite does

VidCite is an analytics tool for YouTube creators. With your permission, it reads statistics about your YouTube channel and videos and shows you insights about them. VidCite has read-only access and never uploads, edits or deletes anything on your channel.

2. YouTube and Google

VidCite uses YouTube API Services. By using VidCite, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

VidCite is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use VidCite.
• You sign in with a Google account and may only connect a YouTube channel that you own or are authorised to manage.
• You're responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure and for activity on your VidCite account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Connect a channel you don't have permission to access.
• Try to access other users' data or break, overload or bypass the security of the Service.
• Copy, resell or redistribute the Service or its data, or use automated tools to scrape it.
• Use the Service for anything illegal or in violation of YouTube's or Google's terms.

5. Pricing and credits

VidCite is currently free during early access. In the future, some features may require payment or credits. If so, we'll show prices clearly before you buy anything, and you'll never be charged without your agreement. Unless the law requires otherwise or we say so at the time of purchase, purchased credits are non-refundable and have no cash value.

6. Your data

You own your channel data. You give VidCite permission to access, store and process it only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect your channel at any time, and we will delete your stored YouTube data.

7. Our service

• VidCite and its design, software and branding belong to us. These Terms don't give you any rights to them other than using the Service.
• We're constantly improving VidCite, so features may change, be added or be removed.
• Statistics come from YouTube and may sometimes be delayed, incomplete or different from what YouTube Studio shows.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or that the insights will lead to any particular result for your channel. Decisions you make based on VidCite are your own.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, VidCite will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or channel performance, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you haven't paid us anything.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using VidCite at any time by disconnecting your channel and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk. If we shut down the Service, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email or on the website before they take effect. If you keep using VidCite after that, you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of India, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
